"Life's too short and his favorite word"

Marc iLL was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in PG County Maryland. Known for witty punch lines and wordplay and commands attention with real heartfelt stories about his personal life, which has drawn comparisons to the likes of J. Cole and Joe Budden. Fans love the substance in his lyrics and describe his music as refreshing.

Marc has a bachelor’s degree in graphics design/web design from North Carolina A&T State University. He also played basketball while attending A&T. iLL decided to make the permanent transition from the basketball court to the recording booth after graduating. Performing as Marc iLL, he dropped several mixtapes over the last few years, but his latest single “Thats The Thing” earned the college grad over 19,000 plays on Soundcloud and the title of “Heater Of The Day” on AllHipHop.com.

The former college basketball guard is working on his next project, an EP entitled The Initiation, and a mixtape following shortly after entitled, iLLuminati. With new music on the way and newly released track with fellow DMV rappers Phil Adé and Lightshow “How I Am”, Marc iLL is establishing himself as a Hip Hop artist to keep an eye on.
